The company was founded in 1949 as a mechanical engineering company by founder Ernst Kallfass Sr. and his wife Frida. Initially repair work, particularly for woodworking companies, was provided.

By the end of the 1960s KALLFASS was among the first companies to build stacking machines for sawn timber.

In 1975 the son, Ernst, joined the company; the firm was turned over to him in 1984.

Under his direction manufacturing was rationalized, the products were further developed, and the existing individual machines and conveyor devices were combined to form complete manufacturing plants.

H&M Houtbewerkingsmachines is een dynamisch bedrijf dat sinds 1985 actief is in de houtverwerkende industrie. H&M levert alles op het gebied van houtbewerkingsmachines, van een enkele standaardmachine tot complete werkplaatsinrichtingen.

Als het gaat om nieuwe of gebruikte machines, onderhoud of certificering, bij H&M bent u aan het juiste adres.

Daarnaast bouwt H&M sinds 1994, geheel in eigen beheer, een complete lijn van machines voor het afkorten en bewerken van hout voor houtverwerkende bedrijven. Onze klantenkring bestaat dan ook voornamelijk uit timmerbedrijven, houtskeletbouw bedrijven, kozijnen- en deurenfabrikanten, de houthandel en de meubelindustrie.
